ACIGUARD-O SUSP
What is Aciguard-O suspension?
Aciguard-O suspension belongs to a class of medication known as antacids but contain an anesthetic and an anti-flatulent agent. It acts by neutralizing gastric acid, alleviating the symptoms of pain and discomfort associated with gastrointestinal reflux and reduce bloating, discomfort and pain caused by gas in the stomach or intestinal tract.

INGREDIENTS:
Each 5 mL contains Aluminum Hydroxide, Dried 250mg, Magnesium Hydroxide 250 mg and Simethicone 50mg, Oxethazaine 10mg. other inactive ingredients are: sodium saccharine, sorbitol solution (70%), sodium methyl paraben, sodium propyl paraben, sodium CMC, sodium citrate, bronopol, chloroform, tween 80, menthol, purified water and mint flavor.

INDICATION:
Aciguard-O help in dyspepsia and is used for the symptomatic relief of hyperacidity associated with peptic ulceration, gastritis, esophageal reflux with heartburn and gastric hyperacidity.
If symptomatic relief has previously not been achieved with antacid therapy alone, Aciguard-O may be of benefit in these situations.

CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Do not use this product if you are currently taking prescription antibiotic drug containing any form of tetracycline.
Individual with known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
Shake well before use.
Adult
5-10 ml three to four times daily 15 minutes before meals.
The maximum dose may be decreased following adequate control of symptoms.

ADDED INFORMATION:
Aciguard-O suspension should preferably be taken undiluted. However, if desired, it may be followed by a sip of water.
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it is time to the take the next dose.
Never take 2 doses at the same time.

CAUTION:
Don’t exceed the recommended dose.
The possibility of gastrointestinal carcinoma should be excluded before starting treatment with Aciguard-O.
The use of magnesium containing antacids in patient with mild to moderate renal impairment should be carefully monitored due to the possible increased danger of hypomagnesaemia.

POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS:
If the dose of Aciguard-O exceeds 60 ml per day, some patients may experience dizziness, faintness or drowsiness. Sensitivity reactions including skin eruptions, itching, inflammation of the tongue, angioedema and collapse have been reported.
If symptoms persist, consult your physician.
In case of overdose go to your nearest emergency department immediately or your doctor.

STORAGE:
Keep bottle tightly closed and store under 30°C. protect from direct light. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date.
