DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Swallow the tablets with a drink of water. Do not chew them
ADDED INFORMATION
Do not change the dose of the medicine or stop taking the medicine without consulting your doctor first.
For bed-wetting at night in children 6-16 years, Amitriptyline should not be used for longer than 3 months. Your doctor will evaluate if the treatment should be continued after 3 months.
CAUTION
Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.
Amitriptyline may cause drowsiness. If affected do not drive or use machinery.
POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
Common side effects may include drowsiness, dizziness, weakness, tiredness, decreased libido, confusion, difficulty concentrating, nightmares, delusion and headache. Less common ones include allergic reactions, hepatitis, feeling faint when getting up, low sodium level.
STORAGE
Store in a cool dry place below 30°C. protect from light.
Do not use after the expiry date.
