Ingredients
Each 5ml contains;
Quinine sulphate BP 7.5mg, Nitric Acid BP. 0.011 ml, Hydrochloric Acid 0.15ml, Polysorbate 80%, Sorbitol (70% solution), Eucalyptus Oil, Sunset Yellow (E110) Purified Water.

Indication
- It is used for the treatment of cold and fever.
- 8 Hour Fever – Cold Mixture which has analgesic and antipyretic properties is for oral administration and to relieve mild to moderate pain including headache and rheumatic aches. It could be used to relieve symptoms associated with cold like dry soreness in the throat, aching joints, shivering, sneezing and hot throbbing forehead. Its antipyretic properties help to check the higher than normal body temperatures.
Dosage and Administration
- For the treatment of Cold and Fever, the medicine is taken as a full dose once every 8 hours hence the name 8 Hour Fever – Cold Mixture Adults: Two 5ml (10ml) – Measuring Device included.
- Children: 6-12 years: 5ml.
- To be taken every 8 hours.
Adverse Effects
- Hypersensitivity Reactions: Skin rash, pruritus and slight loss of hair may rarely occur. These reactions are usually mild and regress spontaneously on withdrawal of drug.
- 8 Hour Fever – Cold Mixture should be taken only in the stated doses.
- Stop administration and consult your doctor when abnormal rations occur. Caution in patients with previous allergy or anaphylactic reactions with active components. Pregnant and lactating women should not take 8 Hour Fever – Cold Mixture without their doctor’s approval.
Caution
- Do not give to children under 6 years of age. Do not exceed the stated dose. Do not use this medicine after the expiry date on the carton and label on the bottle. Store in a cool dry place at a temperature below
25°C; and replace cap securely. Protect from direct light.
- Keep out of reach of children.
