Why do you need this medicine? Amlex contains Amlodipine, an antihypertensive which belongs to the group of medicines called dihydropyridine calcium-channel blocker.
ACTIVE INGREDIENT
Each uncoated tablet contains: Amlodipine Besilate B.P. equivalent to Amlodipine 10mg.
INDICATIONS
High blood pressure (hypertension)
Angina pectoris (pain or discomfort in the chest)
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to amlodipine
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
The usual initial antihypertensive oral dose of Amlex is 5mg once daily, and to a maximum dose of 10mg once daily.
The recommended dose for chronic stable or vasospastic angina is 5-10mg, with the lowest effective dose in the elderly and in patients with hepatic insufficiency.
ADDED INFORMATION
Amlex tablet can be taken before or after food and drinks
Take the tablet at the same time each day with a glass of water.
CAUTION
Do not take amlodipine with grapefruits
Use with caution in patients with heart failure.
POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
Ankle Edema, Dizziness, Flushing, Palpitation, arrhythmia, tachycardia, neuropathy peripheral, allergic reaction. Report to the pharmacist or physician if side effects worsen or last more than a few days

Store at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Protect from light.
