Aziglobe contains the active substance Azithromycin. It is an antibiotic and belongs to the class of antibiotics called macrolides.

Indications:

Contra Indications:
Aziglobe is contraindicated in individuals having hypersensitivity to the drug.
Patient with a history of cholestatic jaundice/hepatic dysfunction associated with prior use of azithromycin

Directions/Usage:
Adults
Community-acquired pneumonia (mild severity), Pharyngitis/tonsillitis (second-line therapy), skin/skin structure infection (uncomplicated)
500mg on day 1, followed by 250mg once daily on days 2 through 5.
Acute bacterial exacerbations of chronic bronchitis (mild to moderate)
500mg on day 1, followed by 250mg once daily on days 2 through 5 or 500mg once daily for 3 days
Acute bacterial sinusitis
500mg once daily for 3 days
Non-gonococcal Urethritis and cervicitis, Genital ulcer disease (Chancroid)
1g as a single dose.
Gonococcal urethritis and cervicitis
2g as a single dose.

Added Information:
Aziglobe should be taken 1 hour before or at least 2 hours after a meal or as directed by the Physician.

Safety Advice:
Aziglobe should not be taken during pregnancy unless under the advice and supervision of a Physician.
Use with caution in individuals with Renal and hepatic dysfunction, pseudomembranous colitis.

Common Side Effects:
Nausea, epigastric distress, vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness, headache, and flatulence, fever, skin rash, cholestatic jaundice, ototoxicity.

Storage Advice:
Store in a cool place below 30°C.
Keep all medicines out of the reach of children.
