CEFIXIME TAB 200mg EXETER

Why do you need to give this medicine? This medication is a cephalosporin antibiotic used for the treatment of acute and chronic infections caused by sensitive organisms.

INGREDIENTS

Each tablet contains cefixime anhydrous 200mg

ADDED INFORMATION

Do not use if allergic to or intolerant of any of the ingredients.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Allergy to cephalosporins

DOSAGE

For children :

6-11months: 75mg daily

1-4 years: 100mg daily

5-9 years: 200mg daily

For adults and children 10 and above: 200-400mg daily in 1 to 2 divided doses

POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS 

This drug may cause nausea, vomiting and abdominal discomfort. Rarely, angioedema, pruritus or rash may occur. Report to the pharmacist or physician if side effects worsen or last more than a few days.

WARNING

Do not use in the first trimester of pregnancy.

May be present in breastmilk

STORAGE

Store in a dry place with temperature maximum of 30oC. Protect from sunlight.
