CELECOXIB 200MG EXETER

Why do you need to give this medicine? This medication is used for the relief of pain, signs and symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis and ankylosing spondylitis in adults.

INGREDIENTS

Each tablet contains 200mg of Celecoxib.

ADDED INFORMATION

This product contains lactose. Do not use if allergic to or intolerant of any of these ingredients.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Hypersensitivity to celecoxib

Allergic reactions to sulphonamides

Current Peptic ulcer

Pregnancy

Breastfeeding

Severe liver disease

Renal insufficiency

Inflammatory Bowel Disease

Peripheral Artery Disease

DOSAGE

For pain and inflammation in osteoarthritis, 200mg daily in 1-2 divided doses, up to 200mg twice daily

For  pain and inflammation in rheumatoid arthritis, 100mg twice daily, up to 200mg twice daily.

Ankylosing spondylitis, 200mg daily in 1-2 divided doses, then 400mg daily in 1-2 divided doses

POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS 

This drug may cause a heart attack in high risk patients, sinusitis, difficulty in breathing, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, difficulty in sleeping.

Report to the pharmacist or physician if side effects worsen or last more than a few days.

WARNING

Do not use while breastfeeding. Avoid driving and operating heavy machinery while using this drug. Do not use this drug while taking aspirin, warfarin, smoke, or have uncontrolled hypertension.

STORAGE

Store in a dry place with temperature maximum of 30oC. Protect from sunlight.
