This medicine is also used to treat acute bacterial inflammation within the nasal passage (acute bacterial sinusitis), acute middle ear infection, gum swelling, and infection from animal bites. It is a prescription medicine. This medicine works by killing the growth of bacteria that cause infection.

INGREDIENTS
Each tablet contains Amoxicillin 875 mg and Clavulanic acid 125 mg.
ADDED INFORMATION
Exoclav-1 g belongs to a class of medicines called Penicillin-class Antibacterial. Penicillins are a group of antibiotics that are used to treat and prevent different type of bacterial infections. Exoclav-1 g Tablet will not work against colds, flu, or other viral infections.
DOSAGE
Adults and children weighing 40 kg and over
Usual dose: 1 tablet twice daily
Higher dose: 1 tablet three times a day
POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
Diarrhoea, hives, immune disorder of T cells (mucocutaneous candidosis), inflammation of the vagina, nausea, skin rashes, vomiting.
WARNINGS AND CAUTIONS
The use of this medicine may change blood clotting parameter (prothrombin time). Use of Exoclav- 1 g may increase the prothrombin time. Patients should be monitored carefully.
The use of Exoclav-1 g Tablet may change blood estrogen level. Exoclav-1 g may decrease the levels of blood estrogen hormone (estriol, estriol-glucuronide, conjugated estrone, and estradiol) during pregnancy.
The use of this medicine may change liver enzymes (aspartate aminotransferase and alanine aminotransferase). Abnormal functioning of the liver and elevated levels of liver enzymes are observed in patients taking Exoclav-1 g for a long time.
Exoclav-1 g Tablet can make you feel sleepy. Be careful when using any machinery, driving a vehicle, or doing any other activity that needs you to be fully alert. The consumption of alcohol with Exoclav-1 g Tablet can worsen the sleepiness. Exoclav-1 g Tablet may cause rarely seizures in some people. If you perform any activities where a loss of consciousness may cause harm to you (or others), you should discuss with your doctor.
The use of Exoclav-1 g Tablet during pregnancy should only be when required.
STORAGE
Store Exoclav-1 g Tablet at 25°C (77° F), away from moisture, and away from sunlight. Keep this medicine away from children and pets.
