Galvus Met 50/1000mg /500mg tablets combine vildagliptin and metformin hydrochloride in a fixed-dose combination used as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in patients with type 2 diabetes.

Composition:
Each tablet contains 50mg vildagliptin and 1000mg metformin hydrochloride as the active ingredients along with excipients.

Medication:
Vildagliptin inhibits DPP-4 enzyme prolonging incretin action, which stimulates insulin secretion and reduces glucagon levels. Metformin decreases hepatic glucose production and improves insulin sensitivity.
