 Description:

Gatilant Eye Drop is an antibacterial eye solution containing Gatifloxacin, used to treat bacterial infections of the eye, such as conjunctivitis (pink eye) and other bacterial ocular conditions.

Prescription:

  • Prescription Required.

Dosage:

  • Adults and children (over 1 year):
    • Instill 1 drop in the affected eye(s) every 2 hours while awake for the first 2 days.
    • Reduce to 1 drop every 4 hours for the next 5 days.
  • Children under 1 year:
    • Consult a healthcare provider.

Therapeutic Category:

  • Ophthalmic Antibiotic.

Active Ingredients/Composition:

  • Gatifloxacin (0.3% w/v): A fourth-generation fluoroquinolone antibiotic effective against a broad spectrum of bacteria.

Variant:

  • Eye Drop (5ml bottle).

Consume Type:

  • For ophthalmic use only (external).

Directions/Usage:

  1. Wash hands before using the eye drop.
  2. Tilt the head back and pull the lower eyelid down to create a small pocket.
  3. Instill the prescribed number of drops into the pocket without touching the tip of the bottle to any surface.
  4. Close the eye gently and avoid blinking or rubbing the eyes.
  5. Wait at least 5-10 minutes before using other eye medications if prescribed.

  • Mild irritation or discomfort in the eye.
  • Redness or itching.
  • Temporary blurred vision.
  • Rarely, swelling or allergic reactions.
