Ipratropium is an anticholinergic bronchodilator that helps relax muscles in the airways to improve breathing in conditions like asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It is available as a nebule for use in a nebulizer.

Active Ingredient:
Ipratropium bromide

Indications:
For maintenance treatment of bronchospasm associated with COPD and asthma, as well as acute asthma exacerbations.

Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to ipratropium or other atropine derivatives.

Dosage:
2 to 4 times per day administered via nebulizer. Dose may be adjusted based on patient’s response.

Added Information:
Effects begin within 15-30 minutes and last 4-6 hours. Use only as prescribed.

Caution:
Use with caution in narrow-angle glaucoma, prostatic hypertrophy, bladder neck obstruction.

Side Effects:
Cough, dry mouth, nausea, dizziness, headache.

Storage:
Store below 30°C. Protect nebules from light and moisture. Discard if solution is discolored.
