Composition:
Each tablet contains 500mg metformin hydrochloride as active ingredient plus excipients like povidone and magnesium stearate.

Medication:
Metformin lowers both basal and postprandial plasma glucose by decreasing hepatic glucose production, decreasing intestinal absorption of glucose and improving insulin sensitivity.
