Description

GR Mox is an oral antibiotic suspension containing amoxicillin, a broad-spectrum β-lactam antibiotic. It is commonly prescribed to treat bacterial infections such as respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and dental infections.

Prescription

  • GR Mox is a prescription-only medicine (POM) and should be used under the guidance of a healthcare professional.​

Dosage

  • Adults:
    • Mild infections: 250 mg every 8 hours
    • Moderate to severe infections: 500 mg every 8 hours
    • Very severe infections: 1,000 mg every 8 hours
  • Children:

    • Up to 10 years: 125–250 mg every 8 hours
    • Infants and children under 40 kg: 20–40 mg/kg body weight three times daily

Dosage may vary based on the severity of the infection and patient-specific factors. ​
