Calcough Infant Syrup is a soothing, non-drowsy, colour-free and sugar-free syrup designed to relieve dry, tickly coughs in infants and young children. It acts as a demulcent by coating and calming the irritated throat and upper airways, providing gentle symptomatic relief from coughs associated with minor colds or irritation. It is suitable from 3 months of age (not for babies under 3 months) and has a pleasant apple flavour in most formulations.

Active Ingredients/Composition:

• Glycerol (0.75 ml per 5 ml dose) – the active demulcent/soothing agent. Other ingredients: Purified water, maltitol liquid (E965), citric acid monohydrate, hydroxyethylcellulose, sodium citrate, sodium benzoate (E211), propylene glycol (E1520 – in flavouring), apple flavour (or similar), and trace excipients. It is colour-free and sugar-free (uses maltitol as sweetener).

Directions/Usage:

• Shake well before use. Use the provided measuring spoon for accuracy.
• Children 3 months to 1 year: 5 ml (one 5 ml spoonful) 3–4 times a day as needed.
• Children 1 to 5 years: 10 ml (two 5 ml spoonfuls) 3–4 times a day as needed. Give with or without food. Do not exceed 4 doses in 24 hours. If symptoms persist beyond 3 days or worsen, consult a doctor. Not for babies under 3 months.
