CASODEX 50MG
Why do you need to give this medicine?
CASODEX 50mg is an androgen receptor inhibitor indicated for use in combination therapy wit ha luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone (LHRH) analog for the treatment of Stage D2 metastatic carcinoma of the prostate.

Each tablet contains bicalutamide 50mg

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
50mg once daily (morning or evening) in combination with an LHRH analog
Taken with or without food

ADDED INFORMATION
Taken at the same time each day
Treatment should be started at the same time as treatment with an LHRH analog.
If a dose of CASODEX 50mg is missed, take the next dose at the scheduled time. Do not take the missed dose and do not double the next dose.

WARNING AND PRECAUTION
Severe hepatic injury and fatal hepatic failure have been observed. Monitor serum transaminase levels prior to starting treatment with CASODEX, at regular interval for the first four months of treatment and periodically thereafter, and for symptoms or signs suggestive of hepatic dysfunction.

Hemorrhage with concomitant use of coumarin anticoagulant. Closely monitor the Prothrombin Time (PT) and internal normalized ratio (INR), and adjust the anticoagulant dose as needed.

POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
Hot flashes, pain (including general, back, pelvic, and abdominal), asthenia, constipation, infection, nausea, peripheral edema, dyspnea, hematuria, nocturia, and anemia.

STORAGE
Store at room temperature between 20°C and 25°C.
Keep CASODEX and all medicines out of the reach of children
