Description

Co-Trimoxazole is a fixed-dose antibiotic combining trimethoprim (80 mg) and sulfamethoxazole (400 mg). It is used to treat infections caused by susceptible bacteria, including urinary tract infections, respiratory tract infections, and certain opportunistic infections like Pneumocystis jirovecii pneumonia (PJP) and toxoplasmosis.​

Directions/Usage

• Adults and children over 12 years: Take 2 tablets every 12 hours.

• For specific infections like PJP or toxoplasmosis, dosing and duration may differ; follow your healthcare provider’s instructions.

• It is preferable to take Co-Trimoxazole with food or drink to minimize gastrointestinal disturbances. ​
