Description
Co-Aprovel is a fixed-dose combination antihypertensive medication used for the treatment of essential hypertension (high blood pressure) in patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled by irbesartan or hydrochlorothiazide alone. It combines an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) and a thiazide diuretic.

Directions/Usage
- Usual adult dose: 1 tablet once daily (either 150/12.5 mg or 300/12.5 mg depending on response).
- May be titrated under medical supervision.
- Take at the same time each day for best results.
- Not recommended in children and adolescents under 18 years.

- Dizziness, headache, fatigue
- Nausea, diarrhea, abdominal pain
- Hypotension (low blood pressure)
- Hyperkalemia (high potassium) or hypokalemia (low potassium, due to HCTZ)
- Increased urination
- Rare: allergic skin reactions, angioedema, kidney function changes

Safety Advice

- Regular monitoring of blood pressure, kidney function, and electrolytes is advised.
- Avoid excessive alcohol (may enhance hypotensive effect).
