Consume Type

Directions/Usage

  • Usual adult dose: 1 tablet once daily (either 150/12.5 mg or 300/12.5 mg depending on response).
  • May be titrated under medical supervision.
  • Take at the same time each day for best results.
  • Not recommended in children and adolescents under 18 years.

Common Side Effects

  • Dizziness, headache, fatigue
  • Nausea, diarrhea, abdominal pain
  • Hypotension (low blood pressure)
  • Hyperkalemia (high potassium) or hypokalemia (low potassium, due to HCTZ)
  • Increased urination
  • Rare: allergic skin reactions, angioedema, kidney function changes

Safety Advice

  • Avoid concomitant use with potassium supplements, potassium-sparing diuretics, or lithium unless closely monitored.
  • Regular monitoring of blood pressure, kidney function, and electrolytes is advised.
  • Avoid excessive alcohol (may enhance hypotensive effect).
