Description

Flucona-Denk 150 is a prescription antifungal medication containing fluconazole. It is used to treat various fungal infections, including vaginal candidiasis, mucosal candidiasis, systemic candidiasis, cryptococcal meningitis, and dermatophytosis. ​

Active Ingredients/Composition

• Active Ingredient: Fluconazole 150 mg per capsule.

• Excipients: Lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, corn starch, colloidal silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate, sodium lauryl sulfate, gelatin, titanium dioxide (E171), quinoline yellow (E104), sunset yellow (E110)..

Consume Type

Oral administration.​

Directions/Usage

• Vaginal candidiasis: 150 mg as a single dose.

• Mucosal candidiasis: 50–100 mg once daily for 7–14 days.

• Systemic candidiasis: 400 mg on the first day, followed by 200–400 mg once daily.

• Cryptococcal meningitis: 400 mg on the first day, then 200–400 mg daily for 6–8 weeks.

• Dermatophytosis: 150 mg once weekly or 50 mg daily for 2–4 weeks.
  

Capsules should be swallowed whole, with or without food.​

• Headache

• Elevated liver enzymes

• Skin rash or itching

• Fatigue ​

Rare but serious side effects include liver toxicity, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, and QT interval prolongation. ​

Safety Advice

• Use with caution in patients with liver dysfunction; monitor liver function during treatment.

• Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless advised by a healthcare provider.

• May interact with medications such as warfarin, phenytoin, and rifampicin; inform your doctor of all medications you are taking.
