Metronidazole tablets contain 400mg of metronidazole, an antibiotic used to treat certain bacterial and parasitic infections.

Active Ingredient:
Metronidazole 400mg

Indications:
Treatment of bacterial vaginosis, antibiotic-associated diarrhea, intra-abdominal infections, gynecological infections. Also used to treat amebiasis and giardiasis.

Contraindications:
Known hypersensitivity to metronidazole or nitroimidazoles.

Dosage:
Adults – 400-800mg three times daily depending on indication. Treatment is usually for 7-10 days. Dose may be adjusted by prescriber.

Side Effects:
Nausea, vomiting, metallic taste, diarrhea.

Storage:
Store below 30°C in a cool, dry place. Protect from light.
