Product description

Description:

Neflucon Fluconazole Suspension 10mg/ml (50ml) is a paediatric-friendly oral antifungal medication. It treats and prevents fungal infections, including oropharyngeal candidiasis (thrush), esophageal candidiasis, cryptococcal meningitis, candidemia, and other invasive candidiasis in children and adults who cannot swallow tablets. It is also used for prophylaxis in immunocompromised patients (e.g., neutropenia). Fluconazole inhibits fungal cytochrome P450 enzyme lanosterol 14-alpha-demethylase, disrupting ergosterol synthesis in fungal cell membranes.

Prescription: Prescription-only (Rx). Requires a doctor’s prescription (typically from a paediatrician or infectious disease specialist) with diagnosis confirmation (e.g., culture for candidiasis).
