ORELOX SUSP 100 DOSE (50MLS)/200 DOSE (100MLS)

Why do you need to give this medicine? Orelox Susp 200 Dose is an antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections in children. It is not designed for adults.

INGREDIENTS

Each 5ml of suspension contains: Cefpodoxime Proxetil equivalent to Cefpodoxime 40mg.

ADDED INFORMATION

Do not use if your child has an allergy to cephalosporins or penicillins. This product contains sucrose and may be harmful to the teeth.

INDICATIONS 

Orelox Susp 200 Dose is indicated for the treatment of mild to moderate infections caused by susceptible strains of the designated microorganisms in the following conditions:

– Acute otitis media

– Pharyngitis/tonsillitis

– Acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis

– Uncomplicated urinary tract infections

CONTRAINDICATIONS 

Orelox Susp 200 Dose is contraindicated in patients with known allergy to the cephalosporin class of antibiotics.

DOSAGE

Children aged 6 months to 12 years:

The recommended dose is 5mg/kg body weight once daily for 5 to 10 days.

Maximum daily dose: 400mg.

POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS

The most common side effects of Orelox Susp 200 Dose include diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and skin rash. If your child feels ill after using Orelox Susp 200 Dose, or you notice any unusual or unexpected symptoms, tell your doctor or go to the Accident and Emergency department of your nearest hospital.
