Description:
Otrivin Paediatric Nasal Drops are formulated to provide relief from nasal congestion in children aged 1 to 11 years. The active ingredient, xylometazoline hydrochloride, works by narrowing the blood vessels in the nasal passages, reducing swelling and congestion.
Prescription:
Dosage:
- Children 1 to 5 years: 1 to 2 drops into each nostril, once or twice daily (every 8 to 10 hours). Do not exceed 3 applications daily per nostril.
- Children 6 to 11 years: 2 to 4 drops into each nostril, 2 to 3 times daily as needed. Do not exceed 3 applications daily per nostril.
It is recommended to make the last application shortly before bedtime. Do not use for more than 10 consecutive days.

Consume Type:
- Topical nasal administration.
Directions/Usage:
- Gently clear the child’s nose.
- Remove the bottle cap.
- Tilt the child’s head back as far as comfortable or, if lying down, hang the head over the side of the bed.
- Without touching the nozzle to the nose, apply the drops into each nostril and keep the head tilted back for a short time to allow the drops to spread throughout the nose.
- Replace the cap right after use.
- Clean and dry the nozzle before replacing the cap to avoid contamination.
- To prevent the spread of infection, the bottle should only be used by one person.Â
Common Side Effects:
- Nasal irritation or dryness.
- Sneezing.
- Rarely, systemic effects such as headache, nausea, or palpitations may occur.
If any adverse effects occur, discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional.
