Description:

Piriton Syrup is an antihistamine medication used to relieve symptoms of allergic conditions such as hay fever, urticaria, insect bites, food allergies, and drug reactions. It is also indicated for the symptomatic relief of itch associated with chickenpox. 

Prescription:

Dosage:

• Children aged 1–2 years: 2.5 ml twice daily (maximum 5 ml in 24 hours). 
• Children aged 2–6 years: 2.5 ml every 4–6 hours (maximum 15 ml in 24 hours). 
• Children aged 6–12 years: 5 ml every 4–6 hours (maximum 30 ml in 24 hours). 
• Adults and children over 12 years: 10 ml every 4–6 hours (maximum 60 ml in 24 hours). 
• Elderly: 10 ml every 4–6 hours (maximum 30 ml in 24 hours).

The minimum interval between doses should be 4 hours.​

• Antihistamine (H1 receptor antagonist).​

Active Ingredients/Composition:

• Active Ingredient: Chlorphenamine maleate. 
• Excipients: Sucrose, ethanol (6.3% v/v), glycerol, and other standard excipients.

Consume Type:

• Oral liquid.

Directions/Usage:

1. Shake the bottle well before use. 
2. Use the provided measuring spoon to administer the correct dose. 
3. Do not exceed the recommended dose or frequency. 
4. The minimum interval between doses should be 4 hours.

• Dry mouth. 
• Dizziness. 
• Gastrointestinal disturbances. 
• In rare cases, allergic reactions such as rash or hypersensitivity. ​
