Salbutamol 4mg tablets are small, round, white tablets containing 4mg of the active ingredient salbutamol sulfate. They are used to treat and prevent symptoms of respiratory conditions such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

Indications:
Relief of symptoms of asthma attacks: wheezing, shortness of breath, chest tightness
Prevention of exercise-induced bronchospasm (EIB): wheezing caused by exercise
Treatment of bronchospasm: narrowing of the airways due to various causes
Management of COPD: a chronic lung condition that causes difficulty breathing

Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to salbutamol or any of its ingredients
Severe thyrotoxicosis (overactive thyroid gland)
Uncontrolled hypertension (high blood pressure)
Tachyarrhythmias (irregular and fast heartbeat)

Side effects:
Tremor (shaking)
Headache
Nausea
Nervousness
Tachycardia (increased heart rate)
Palpitations (feeling of a racing heart)
Oropharyngeal irritation (mouth and throat irritation)

Dosage and Usage:
Adults: 2-4 tablets, 3-4 times a day, as needed. Maximum daily dose is 16mg.
Children: Dosage should be determined by a doctor based on the child’s weight and age.
The tablets should be swallowed whole with a glass of water. Do not chew or crush them.

Storage:
Store at room temperature (15-25°C).
Protect from light and moisture.
Keep out of reach of children.
