AMARYL  TABLET

Why you need this medication? Amaryl tablet is an antidiabetic medication. It helps control blood sugar levels in people with type 2 diabetes thereby preventing serious complications of diabetes.

ACTIVE INGREDIENT

Each uncoated tablet of Amaryl contains 1mg of Glimepiride

INDICATION

Type 2 diabetes mellitus

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Presence of ketoacidosis

Type 1 diabetes

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

As directed by the physician

Maximum: 6mg per day

To be taken shortly before or with first main meal of the day

Swallow whole, do not chew, crush or break it

ADDED INFORMATION

Take this medicine in the dose and duration advised by your doctor

Monitor your blood sugar level regularly while taking Amaryl 1mg tablet

Always carry some sugary food or fruit juice with you in case you experience hypoglycemic symptoms such as cold sweats, tremor, anxiety.

CAUTION

Your ability to drive may be affected if your blood sugar is too low or too high. Do not drive if symptoms occur

Use with caution in patients with kidney and/or liver disease. Dose adjustment may be needed

Avoid alcohol while taking this medicine.

POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS

Common side effects of Amaryl tablet include Hypoglycemia, headache, nausea, dizziness.

Most of these side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjust to the medicine. Consult your doctor or pharmacist if they persist or if you are worried about them.
