 Artesunate injection[Leonate], an antimalarial agent used to treat severe malaria, including cerebral malaria. It is particularly effective against Plasmodium falciparum, the parasite responsible for the most severe form of malaria. Artesunate works by generating reactive oxygen species that damage the parasite, leading to its death.
