CETAPOL SYRUP

Why do you need to give this medicine? Cetapol Syrup is used to relieve mild to moderate pain from a headache, toothache, cold, flu, joint pain, or periods pain. This medicine works by reducing the activity of certain chemicals in the body to provide pain-relieving effects. Cetapol is also used to reduce fever. This medicine reduces fever by increasing the loss of heat from the body.

Each 5ml of syrup contains 120mg of paracetamol

DOSAGE

Children, every 6 hours

0-6months, 2.5 mls

6-24months: 5mls

2-4years: 7.5mls

4-8years 10mls

8-10years: 15mls

10-12 years: 20mls

POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS 

This drug may bleeding, breathing problems, itching, mouth ulcers, skin rash. Report to the pharmacist or physician if side effects worsen or last more than a few days.

WARNING

Patients with known allergy to paracetamol should not take this drug.

Store in a cool, dark, dry place, below 30oC Keep out of reach of children.
