CHLORAMPHENICOL EYE OINTMENT 

Why do you need to give this medicine? This medication is an antibiotic. It’s mainly used to treat eye infections (such as conjunctivitis).

INGREDIENTS

This product contains 1%W/W of Chloramphenicol

ADDED INFORMATION

This product contains cream base. Do not touch the tip of the tube. 

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Hypersensitivity.

Bone marrow suppression

Pregnant and lactating mothers

DOSAGE

For eye infections

Apply at night if eye drops are used during the day 

1 centimeter strip in the pouch of the eye 3-4 times daily as directed by the physician. 

POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS 

This drug can lead to temporary blurred vision, burning, stinging or redness. Report to the pharmacist or physician if side effects worsen or last more than a few days.

WARNING

Do not give this medication to infants due to risk of gray baby syndrome.

Discontinue drug if severe adverse effects are seen, and report to the hospital.

Wash hands before using this product. Do not use on contact lenses.

STORAGE

Store in a dry place with temperature maximum of 25oC. Protect from sunlight.
