Description:

Cipro 500mg Tablet GR contains ciprofloxacin hydrochloride, a broad-spectrum fluoroquinolone antibiotic. It is used to treat various bacterial infections, including those affecting the respiratory tract, urinary tract, gastrointestinal system, skin, and bones.​

Prescription:

  • Prescription-only medication

Dosage:

The typical adult dosage is 500 mg taken orally every 12 hours. The duration of treatment varies based on the type and severity of the infection:​

  • Urinary Tract Infections: 7 to 14 days
  • Lower Respiratory Tract Infections: 7 to 14 days
  • Skin and Soft Tissue Infections: 7 to 14 days
  • Bone and Joint Infections: 4 to 6 weeks​

Dosage adjustments may be necessary for patients with renal impairment. ​
