CIPROLEX EYE OINTMENT
This medication is indicated for treating corneal ulcers and superficial infections of the eye and its adnexa caused by strains presumed or reported susceptible to Ciprofloxacin, especially Pseudomonas aeruginosa and other Gram-negative bacteria resistant to common treatments. It is also recommended for localized or diffuse otitis externa accompanied by a strong inflammatory reaction and strains susceptible to Ciprofloxacin.

ADDED INFORMATION
Do not touch your eye, eyelid, surrounding areas, or other surfaces with the tube tip.

CONTRAINDICATIONS
Hypersensitivity to quinolones.

DOSAGE
For corneal ulcers
Apply a 1.25 cm ribbon into the eye(s) every 1 – 2 hours for 2 days, then every 4 hours for 12 additional days.

For Bacterial conjunctivitis
Apply a 1.25 cm ribbon into the eye(s) 3 times daily for 2 days, then twice daily for 5 additional days.

POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
This drug may cause temporary blurred vision or other visual disturbances. Report to the pharmacist or physician if side effects worsen or last for more than a few days.

WARNING
Wearing contact lenses is not recommended during the treatment of an ocular infection. Therefore, patients should be advised not to wear contact lenses while undergoing treatment.

STORAGE
Keep out of the sight and reach of children, and do not store above 30˚C
