1. Baclofen tablet belongs to a group of medications called anti-spasticity agents, which are used to relax muscles.

Indications:
Baclofen is used to reduce and relieve the excessive tension in your muscles (spasm) associated with various conditions such as cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, cerebrovascular accidents, spinal cord diseases and other nervous system disorders.

Contraindications:
Do not take baclofen tablets if you
Are allergic to baclofen or any of the other ingredients of this medicine
Have stomach ulcer

Directions/Usage:
Adults
The usual initial dose is 5mg three times a day for three days. Then 10mg three times a day for the next three days, then 15mg three times a day for three days, followed by 20mg three times a day for the next three days.
Children
0.3mg/kg/day in 2-4 divided doses, increased gradually at weekly intervals until satisfactory response, maintenance 0.75-2mg/kg daily in divided doses. Maximum 40mg per day.
Elderly
Start with smaller daily dose of baclofen
Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you to.
Take the tablets with food or a drink of milk, especially if you feel sick when you take them.

Additional Information:
Baclofen tablets contain lactose. If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medicine.
Some people may feel drowsy or have problems with their eye while taking this medicine. If this happens, you should not drive or do anything that requires full alertness.

Safety Advice:
Do not stop taking baclofen tablet suddenly unless your doctor tells you to.
Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.

Common Side Effects:
Tiredness, sleepiness, nausea, aching muscles, headache, dizziness, dry mouth, problems with the eyes, low blood pressure, stomach problems including retching, vomiting, constipation, diarrhea.

Storage Advice:
Keep out of sight and reach of children
Do not use after the expiry date
Do not store above 25°C. store in the original package.
