Why do you need to give this medicine? Excipro-Dex eye/ear drops is a combination of Ciprofloxacin and Dexamethasone. It is used to treat eye and ear infections caused by bacteria. It is also used to prevent swelling and bacterial infections that may occur after eye surgery.
INGREDIENTS
Contains Ciprofloxacin (0.3 %w/v) and Dexamethasone (0.1 %w/v)
ADDED INFORMATION
Contains Benzalkonium chloride as preservative. Excipro-Dex eye/ear drop is meant for external use only. Indiscriminate and prolonged use of the preparation may lead to glaucoma, cataract and fungal infections.
DOSAGE
Adults and children: four (4) drops twice a day.
POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
Ringing or buzzing in the ears, blurred vision, eye irritation and discomfort, unusual taste in the mouth, headache.
WARNINGS AND CAUTIONS
Due to lack of adequate information, Excipro-Dex eye/ear drops is not recommended in pregnancy unless necessary.
Avoid wearing contact lenses when you have an eye infection, do not administer this medicine while wearing contact lenses
Do not touch the tip of the dropper with your hands or let it touch any other surface to prevent contamination.
STORAGE
Store at 20° to 25°C. Avoid freezing.
