Fluconazole [GVFLUC] oral suspension is an antifungal medicine containing 35ml of suspension with 50mg fluconazole in each 5ml. It is used to treat certain fungal infections.
Active Ingredients:
Fluconazole 50mg/5ml
Indications:
Treatment of oral thrush and throat candida infections. Also used for systemic fungal infections when tablets are unsuitable.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to fluconazole or similar antifungal drugs. Caution with liver dysfunction.
Dosage:
Dosage depends on type and severity of infection. Common dose is 100-200mg (10-20ml) on first day then 100mg daily.
Added Information:
Shake well before use. Suspension can be taken with or without food. Complete the full course.
Caution:
Use cautiously in pregnancy and breastfeeding. Monitor liver function.
Side Effects:
Diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, headaches, stomach pain, elevated liver enzymes.
Storage:
Store below 30°C. Once opened, suspension expires after 10 days.
