Gaviscon Peppermint Suspension is a fast-acting liquid antacid designed to relieve heartburn, indigestion, and acid reflux by neutralizing excess stomach acid and forming a protective barrier over the stomach contents.

Prescription:

  • Over-the-counter (no prescription required).

Dosage:

  • Adults and children over 12 years: 10-20 ml after meals and at bedtime.
  • Children aged 6-12 years: 5-10 ml after meals and at bedtime.
  • Not recommended for children under 6 years unless advised by a healthcare provider.

Therapeutic Category:

  • Antacid and reflux suppressant.

Active Ingredients/Composition:

  • Sodium alginate: 500 mg
  • Sodium bicarbonate: 267 mg
  • Calcium carbonate: 160 mg
