Luex Adult Chesty Cough Syrup may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.

Luex Adult Chesty Cough Syrup contains Bromhexine, Guaifenesin and Phenylephedrine as active ingredients.

Luex Adult Chesty Cough Syrup works by increasing the viscid or excessive mucus in respiratory tract thus making phlegm thinner; reducing the phlegm in the air passages; acting on alpha-adrenergic receptors.

Luex Adult Dry Cough Syrup contains Dextromethorphan and Menthol as active ingredients.

Variant/Dosage:
For adults, the recommended dose of dextromethorphan is 10 mg to 20 mg taken by mouth every 4 hours, or 30 mg taken by mouth every 6 to 8 hours. The maximum daily dose for adults is 120 mg. For children 6 to 11 years of age, the recommended dose is 5 mg to 10 mg taken by mouth every 4 hours or 15 mg taken by mouth every 6 to 8 hours. The maximum daily dose for children is 60 mg. This medication is not recommended for children under the age of 6 years.
