Usage & Safety Information

  • Directions/Usage:
    • Take exactly one tablet once daily at the same time every day, either with or without food.
    • Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
    • Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet. Damaging the tablet destroys the 24-hour slow-release mechanism and can release too much medicine at once.
    • Never stop taking this medication suddenly. Stopping beta-blockers abruptly can cause your blood pressure to spike dangerously, trigger irregular heartbeats, or provoke a heart attack. Any dose reduction must be tapered down slowly by your doctor.
  • Common Side Effects: Generally well tolerated, but common side effects can include:
    • Dizziness, light-headedness, or feeling tired (fatigue).
    • Slow heart rate (bradycardia).
    • Cold hands and feet due to reduced circulation.
    • Shortness of breath or mild stomach upset.

  •  Blister packs enclosed in a box, usually containing 30 tablets per box (packaged as 3 strips of 10 tablets).

Storage Advice

  • Store in a cool, dry place below 25°C to 30°C. Keep the package away from direct moisture, heat, and safety-locked away from children.
  • Safety Advice:
    • Do not take this medication if you have a naturally very slow heart rate, severe heart block, or advanced heart failure failure unless directed by a specialist.
    • Inform your provider if you have a history of asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), or diabetes, as beta-blockers can mask symptoms of low blood sugar.
    • Avoid driving or operating machinery right after taking it if it makes you feel drowsy or dizzy.
