Description:

Natrixam is a fixed-dose combination medication used for the treatment of high blood pressure (essential hypertension). It combines two antihypertensive agents:

  • Indapamide (a thiazide-like diuretic)
  • Amlodipine (a calcium channel blocker)

This combination is prescribed as a substitution therapy for patients already controlled with indapamide and amlodipine taken separately at the same dose levels. 

Prescription:

  • Prescription-only medicine (POM)

Dosage:

  • One tablet once daily, preferably taken in the morning.
  • Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not chew or crush.
  • Not suitable for initiating therapy; dosage adjustments should be made with individual components if necessary.

  • Antihypertensive Agent​

Active Ingredients/Composition:

  • Indapamide: 1.5 mg
  • Amlodipine Besilate: 13.87 mg (equivalent to 10 mg of amlodipine)​

Each tablet also contains excipients such as lactose monohydrate.

Variant:

  • Available in a 1.5 mg/10 mg strength.
  • Also available in a 1.5 mg/5 mg strength.

Consume Type:

  • Oral administration (modified-release tablet)

Directions/Usage:

  • Take one tablet daily in the morning.
  • Swallow whole with water; do not chew or crush.
  • Consistent daily intake at the same time is recommended for optimal blood pressure control. ​

  • Dizziness
  • Headache
  • Peripheral edema (swelling of ankles or feet)
  • Fatigue
  • Nausea
  • Flushing
