Why do you need to use this product? Onsett 8mg (ondansetron) tablets are used to prevent nausea and vomiting caused by chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and surgery.

INGREDIENTS

Each tablet contains 8mg of ondansetron hydrochloride dihydrate.

INDICATIONS 

Onsett 8mg (ondansetron) tablets are indicated for use in preventing nausea and vomiting caused by chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and surgery.

CONTRAINDICATIONS 

Do not take Onsett 8mg (ondansetron) tablets if you are allergic to ondansetron or any other ingredients in the medication.

DOSAGE

Moderately emetogenic chemotherapy: 8 mg started 30 minutes before chemotherapy, then q12hr for 1-2 days after chemotherapy

Total body radiation therapy: 8 mg PO 1-2 hours before radiation therapy; administered each day

Single high-dose fraction therapy to abdomen: 8 mg PO 1-2 hr before radiation therapy; administer subsequent doses every 8 hr after first dose 1-2 days after completion of therapy

POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS

Common side effects of Onsett 8mg (ondansetron) tablets include headache, constipation, and diarrhea. If you experience any unusual or severe side effects, contact your doctor immediately.
