Description:

Sodicrom DS is an ophthalmic and nasal solution containing Sodium Cromoglicate 4%, a mast cell stabilizer. It is used to prevent and treat allergic conditions such as allergic conjunctivitis and allergic rhinitis by inhibiting the release of histamine and other inflammatory mediators from sensitized mast cells. ​

Prescription:

• Prescription may be required. 

Dosage:

• For Eyes (Allergic Conjunctivitis): Instill 1 to 2 drops into each eye 2 to 3 times daily.
• For Nose (Allergic Rhinitis): Instill 1 drop into each nostril 2 to 3 times daily.​

Directions/Usage:

1. Wash hands thoroughly before application.
2. For Eye Use:
   • Tilt head back and pull down the lower eyelid to create a small pocket.
   • Instill the prescribed number of drops into the pocket.
   • Close eyes gently for a few minutes.
3. For Nasal Use:
   • Tilt head back slightly.
   • Instill the prescribed number of drops into each nostril.
   • Avoid blowing the nose immediately after administration.
4. Avoid touching the dropper tip to any surface to prevent contamination.
5. Use consistently at the same times each day for optimal results.​

Common Side Effects:

• Eye Drops:
  • Transient burning or stinging sensation upon application.
  • Mild eye irritation.
• Nasal Drops:
  • Transient irritation of the nasal mucosa.
  • Sneezing.
  • Occasional nosebleeds (epistaxis). ​
