Triplixam 10mg/2.5mg/10mg 30 tablets is a fixed-dose combination antihypertensive medication containing three active ingredients: perindopril (ACE inhibitor), indapamide (thiazide-like diuretic), and amlodipine (calcium channel blocker). It is used for the treatment of essential hypertension in adults whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with dual therapy or who require triple therapy. The combination provides complementary blood pressure-lowering effects through vasodilation, diuresis, and inhibition of the renin-angiotensin system.

Active Ingredients/Composition: Each film-coated tablet contains:

  • Perindopril arginine 10 mg (equivalent to 6.790 mg perindopril)
  • Indapamide 2.5 mg
  • Amlodipine besilate equivalent to 10 mg amlodipine (13.870 mg amlodipine besilate)

Other excipients include: calcium carbonate starch compound, microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, magnesium stearate, colloidal anhydrous silica, pregelatinised starch, hypromellose, glycerol, macrogol, titanium dioxide, and others. The tablet is white, oblong, film-coated.

Vitamins: None.

Minerals: None.

  • Triplixam 10 mg/2.5 mg/10 mg (highest strength in the range). Related variants: Triplixam 5/1.25/5 mg, 5/1.25/10 mg, 10/2.5/5 mg (different dose combinations of the three components).

Consume Type:

Oral – Film-coated tablet (swallow whole with water; do not crush or chew).

Directions/Usage:

  • Adults: 1 tablet once daily, preferably in the morning.
  • Can be taken with or without food.
  • Take at the same time each day.
  • Duration: Long-term for hypertension management; do not stop abruptly without medical advice.
  • Regular monitoring of blood pressure, electrolytes (especially potassium), renal function, and lipids is required.

Common Side Effects: Common:

  • Peripheral edema (swelling of ankles/feet – from amlodipine)
  • Dry cough (from perindopril)
  • Headache, dizziness, fatigue
  • Muscle cramps or weakness (from indapamide)
  • Flushing, palpitations
  • Hypokalemia (low potassium)

Serious (seek immediate help): Angioedema (swelling of face/lips/tongue), severe hypotension, acute kidney injury, severe electrolyte imbalance, or allergic reactions.

Storage Advice: Store at room temperature (below 25–30°C) in the original packaging, protected from moisture and light. Keep tightly closed. Out of reach of children.

Safety Advice:

  • Contraindicated in pregnancy (especially 2nd and 3rd trimesters – fetal toxicity), breastfeeding, history of angioedema with ACE inhibitors, severe renal impairment, severe hepatic impairment, or hypersensitivity to any component.

  • Keep out of reach of children.
