Why do you need to give this medicine?
Contains a mydriatic and cycloplegic agent. It is used to enlarge the pupil of your eye and temporarily paralyse the lens. Your doctor or eye specialist may use it to examine your eye

INDICATION

CONTRAINDICATION
· Hypersensitivity
· Narrow angle glaucoma
· Shallow anterior chamber
DOSAGE
Adults (including the elderly):
1 drop followed by a second drop after an interval of 5 minutes. A further 1 drop may be instilled after 30 minutes, if required.
Children:
At the discretion of the physician
POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECT
· Blurred vision
· Irritation
· Temporary stinging in the eyes
· Dryness of mouth
· Swelling of eyelids
· Sensitivity to sunlight
· Increased intraocular pressure
· Photophobia
· Abnormally rapid heart rate
· Headache
· Death of small groups of cells on the surface of the cornea
· Systemic anticholinergic effects
CAUTION
Do not drive or operate heavy machinery
Do not use contact lenses while using this solution
Do not use other eye drops for 24 hours after using tropicamide
Pregnant or breastfeeding
Wear sunglasses while going outdoors
STORAGE
Store medicine at room temperature, away from heat and direct light. Do not freeze medicines unless required by package insert. Keep medicines away from children and pets.
