Description:

 Ventolin Inhaler is a bronchodilator used to relieve symptoms of asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and other breathing disorders.

Prescription:

•  Available by prescription only.

 Dosage:

•      Adults and children over 4 years: 1-2 puffs as needed, up to 4 times a day.
•     Children under 4 years: Use as directed by a doctor.

Therapeutic Category: 

• Respiratory, bronchodilator.

Active Ingredients/Composition: 

• Salbutamol sulfate (also known as albuterol sulfate), excipients: propellant HFA-134a, ethanol, and oleic acid.

 Variant: 

• Available in 100mcg and 200mcg strengths.

Consume Type:

•  Inhalation aerosol.

Directions/Usage:

•     Shake the inhaler well before use.
•     Remove the cap and hold the inhaler upright.
•     Breathe out slowly and fully.
•     Place the mouthpiece in your mouth and close your lips.
•     Breathe in slowly and deeply through your mouth.
•     Hold your breath for 10 seconds.
•     Breathe out slowly.

Common Side Effects: 

• Tremors, palpitations, headache, muscle cramps, hypokalemia (low potassium levels).
