Description:

Xarelto (rivaroxaban) is a prescription anticoagulant medication used to prevent and treat various blood clot-related conditions.

Active Ingredients/Composition:

 Each Xarelto tablet contains rivaroxaban as the active ingredient. The 10 mg, 15 mg, and 20 mg tablets also contain inactive ingredients such as croscarmellose sodium, hypromellose, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, and sodium lauryl sulfate.

Vitamins and Minerals: 

Xarelto does not contain added vitamins or minerals.

Variants: 

Available in 10 mg, 15 mg, and 20 mg film-coated tablets.

Consume Type: 

Oral administration.

Directions/Usage:

• Prevention of Venous Thromboembolism (VTE) after Hip or Knee Replacement Surgery: The recommended dose is 10 mg once daily, taken with or without food.
• Treatment of Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) and Pulmonary Embolism (PE): The initial dose is 15 mg twice daily with food for the first 21 days, followed by 20 mg once daily with food.
• Prevention of Stroke and Systemic Embolism in Nonvalvular Atrial Fibrillation: The recommended dose is 20 mg once daily with food.

Common Side Effects:

• Bleeding complications (e.g., nosebleeds, gastrointestinal bleeding).
• Anemia.
• Nausea.
• Elevated liver enzymes.

• Kidney Function: Dose adjustments may be necessary for patients with impaired kidney function.
• Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: Consult your healthcare provider before using Xarelto if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
• Missed Dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember on the same day. Do not take two doses at the same time to make up for a missed dose.
