Why do you need to give this medicine?
This medication is indicated for the treatment of susceptible gram positive and anaerobic infections.

INGREDIENTS
Each capsule contains 150mg of clindamycin hydrochloride.

ADDED INFORMATION
Other ingredients include anhydrous lactose, maize starch, titanium dioxide. Do not use this drug if sensitive to any of its ingredients

CONTRAINDICATIONS
Hypersensitivity to lincosamide or clindamycin
Regional enteritis
Ulcerative colitis
Active diarrhea

DOSAGE
Adults: 150-450mg every 6 hours, depending on the severity of the infection. May be increased to 600mg 8 hourly. Maximum dose: 4.8g

Children : 3-6mg/kg every 6 hours, can be increased to 8-16mg/kg/day depending on the severity. Maximum dose: 450mg per dose

POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
Side effects are not experienced by all patients. This drug may lead to impaired taste, rash, blistering of the skin, swelling of the tongue, abdominal discomfort and diarrhea. Report to the pharmacist or physician if side effects worsen or last more than a few days.

WARNING
Do not use this medication while breastfeeding

Talk to your doctor if:
You get diarrhea from taking antibiotics
You suffer from kidney or liver impairment
You have asthma or eczema.
