Description
Acetazolamide, marketed as Azimox 250 mg, is a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor used to treat conditions such as glaucoma (reducing intraocular pressure), edema associated with heart failure or medication, certain seizure disorders, and to prevent or reduce symptoms of altitude sickness.

Directions / Usage
- Taken by mouth, with or without food—if stomach upset occurs, take with food.
- For altitude sickness: start 1–2 days before ascent, continue during ascent and for 48 h after reaching altitude .
- For edema or glaucoma: typical dosing is 250–375 mg once daily in adults; dosage adjusted based on response and condition .
- Administer at same time each day; keep well hydrated.
