Candid-TV Lotion is a topical antifungal lotion containing clotrimazole. It is used to treat fungal skin infections such as tinea versicolor (pityriasis versicolor), tinea corporis (ringworm), tinea cruris (jock itch), tinea pedis (athlete’s foot), and cutaneous candidiasis. The lotion form is particularly useful for large or hairy areas of the body as it spreads easily and is less greasy than creams. Clotrimazole works by inhibiting ergosterol synthesis in fungal cell membranes, leading to fungal cell death.
