Description:

Candid-TV Lotion  is a topical antifungal lotion containing clotrimazole. It is used to treat fungal skin infections such as tinea versicolor (pityriasis versicolor), tinea corporis (ringworm), tinea cruris (jock itch), tinea pedis (athlete’s foot), and cutaneous candidiasis. The lotion form is particularly useful for large or hairy areas of the body as it spreads easily and is less greasy than creams. Clotrimazole works by inhibiting ergosterol synthesis in fungal cell membranes, leading to fungal cell death.

Over-the-counter (OTC) for most superficial fungal infections.

Active Ingredients/Composition:

Consume Type:

Directions/Usage: Clean and dry the affected area thoroughly. Apply a thin layer of the lotion to the affected skin and a small margin of surrounding healthy skin 2–3 times daily. Continue treatment for at least 2 weeks after symptoms disappear to prevent recurrence (usually 2–4 weeks total for most infections). Shake bottle well before use. Wash hands after application unless treating the hands. Do not cover with occlusive dressings unless advised.

• Rare: Allergic contact dermatitis or worsening of symptoms Most side effects are mild and transient.
