CONGESTYL SYRUP
Why do you need to give this medicine?
Congestyl Syrup is commonly prescribed in children to treat common cold symptoms like sore throat, runny nose, cough, sneezing, watery eyes, body ache, and fever.

INGREDIENTS
Chlorpheniramine Maleate (1mg) + Paracetamol (125mg) + Phenylephrine (2.5mg) per 5ml of drug

THERAPEUTIC CATEGORY
Decongestant, Antipyretic

ADDED INFORMATION
Give Congestyl Syrup to your child by mouth with or without food.
If the child experiences stomach upset with its use, gie with food.

CONTRAINDICATIONS
Hypersensitivity
GI obstruction
Airway obstructive diseases.

DOSAGE
Children 6-12 years:
5mls every 6 to 8 hours

POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
mild drowsiness, stomach upset, dizziness, anxiety, insomnia, rarely thickening of bronchial secretions can occur. Report to the pharmacist or physician if side effects worsen or last for more than a few days

WARNING
Avoid giving your child other sedatives while on this medication
Avoid exposing medication to excessive heat

STORAGE
Store in a dry place with temperature maximum of 30oC. Protect from sunlight.
