Debridace Ointment is a topical enzymatic debriding agent used to remove dead or damaged tissue from wounds such as ulcers, burns, bedsores, surgical wounds, cysts, and carbuncles. It promotes healing by facilitating the breakdown and removal of necrotic tissue.

Prescription:

  • Yes. Debridace Ointment is classified as a Prescription-Only Medicine (POM) in countries like Nigeria. ​

Dosage:

  • Adults and Children over 12 years: Apply a small amount to the affected area twice daily.
  • Application: Clean the wound with saline or a mild cleanser (avoid hydrogen peroxide), apply the ointment directly, cover with an appropriate dressing, and secure in place. ​
