Forxiga 10mg tablets are round, light yellow, film-coated tablets debossed with ’10’ on one side and plain on the other side. They are supplied in packs of 28 tablets.

Active Ingredient:
Each tablet contains dapagliflozin propanediol monohydrate equivalent to 10mg dapagliflozin.

Indications:
Forxiga is a sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycaemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes. Can be used as monotherapy or in combination therapy.

Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to dapagliflozin or any excipients. Should not be used in type 1 diabetes, diabetic ketoacidosis, severe renal impairment, end-stage renal disease or patients on dialysis.

Dosage:
The recommended dose is 10mg once daily, taken in the morning, with or without food.

Added Information:
Monitor renal function before initiation and during treatment. Not recommended for use with pioglitazone in patients with bladder cancer.

Caution:
Use cautiously in elderly, hepatic impairment, hypotension/dehydration, genital infections.

Side Effects:
Hypoglycaemia (when used with insulin or sulphonylurea), urinary tract infection, genital infection, dizziness, renal impairment/failure.

Store below 30°C in the original package.
