Description:
 Patadin Eye Drops contain olopatadine hydrochloride, an antiallergic medication used to relieve symptoms of allergic conjunctivitis such as itchy, red, or watery eyes.

Prescription:
 Yes – Patadin Eye Drops are prescription-only and should be used under medical supervision.

Therapeutic Category:
 Antiallergic / Antihistamine (for ophthalmic use).

Active Ingredients/Composition:

  • Olopatadine Hydrochloride 0.1% w/v (equivalent to Olopatadine 1 mg/ml). 
  • Other inactive ingredients: benzalkonium chloride (preservative), sodium chloride, dibasic sodium phosphate, hydrochloric acid/sodium hydroxide (for pH adjustment), and purified water.

Vitamins:

 None.

Variant:

  • Patadin Eye Drops 5ml bottle with 0.1% olopatadine. 
  • Some markets may have a stronger variant (0.2% olopatadine) for once-daily dosing, but the 0.1% formulation is most common.

Consume Type:
 Ophthalmic – for topical use in the eyes only.

Directions/Usage:

  • Typical dosage: 1 drop in the affected eye(s) twice daily (morning and evening), or as directed by your doctor. 
  • Wash hands before using. 
  • Avoid touching the dropper tip to any surface, including the eye, to prevent contamination.

Common Side Effects:

  • Transient burning or stinging sensation in the eyes 
  • Dry eyes 
  • Blurred vision 
  • Eye redness 
  • Headache (rare) 
  • Foreign body sensation in the eye

 Sterile plastic dropper bottle containing 5ml of solution, sealed for single-patient use.

Storage Advice:

  • Store below 25°C (77°F). 
  • Protect from light. 
  • Keep out of reach of children. 
  • Do not use beyond 4 weeks after opening the bottle.

Safety Advice:

  • For external (eye) use only. 
  • If you wear contact lenses, remove them before applying the drops; wait at least 10–15 minutes before reinserting lenses. 
  • Do not drive or operate machinery until vision clears if you experience temporary blurred vision after instillation. 
  • If you develop signs of an allergic reaction (severe eye redness, swelling, rash, or difficulty breathing), stop use and seek medical help immediately.
